I.D.E.A. District

Design Competition

Over the past couple of weeks, students from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design have been involved in a Design Competition for our “Liberation of the Park” project in East Village San Diego. Great designs and amazing work done by these students. Check out some of the pictures from the competition.

Also included is a very thoughtful email message from one of the students who participated in the design competition. Thank you to everyone who took part in the process. We’re making progress!

“This is Stephen Cornelius, one of the Newschool students that presented the proposals for the I.D.E.A. Districts Liberate the Park Project. This has been a great and exciting opportunity for us and we have all enjoyed the collaboration and passion that has gone into this project so far. We, as students of design, are excited to continue with this process to see our ideas come to life. I have attached some of the renderings from our project as discussed after the presentation. Thank you for your attendance and great interest in this project, we will see you shortly as this project progresses.”
